Stella Duffy grew up in New Zealand, but returned to her native London fifteen years ago. She has written nine novels, and her short stories and features have appeared in the Independent, the Guardian, The Times, Elle and many others. Her novels have been translated into seven languages and State Of Happiness is currently in development as a feature film. Stella is also an actor, comedian and improviser. She recently performed her own solo show Breaststrokes at BAC theatre, Battersea.
