A beautiful, full-colour book of 40 full-page paintings depicting 30 of New Zealand's native trees in their natural habitat from the Poor Knights and Three Kings Islands in the north through to Stewart Island and the Auckland Islands in the deep south. Ronald Cometti's paintings are accompanied by text that is informal and entertaining, and includes interesting snippets of information about the trees, including their history and former uses for timber. Ronald Cometti is well-known as the author of "New Zealand Forest Treasures". He has had paintings reproduced in Forest and Bird Magazine and New Zealand Geographic.
