Three volumes of Everyman's Library 407, 408 & 409, first published in 1910. A complete three-volume set of Plutarch's famous biographies of notable Grecian and Roman personages. Born a Greek and later a Roman citizen, Plutarch intended these biographies to be read by either Grecians or Romans. Translated from the Greek by John Dryden, and revised by Arthur Hugh Clough (who also supplies an introduction).
