Canadian-born Karen Wallace is the author of over 70 books for children, including the award-winning non-fiction title THINK OF AN EEL. Her two novels for S&S have been highly acclaimed; RASPBERRIES ON THE YANGTZE (Shortlisted for the Guardian Fiction Award) & CLIMBING A MONKEY PUZZLE TREE. She was born in the backwoods of Quebec, but studied and now lives in the UK. She has worked as a journalist and a screenwriter as well as being a full time novelist.
