When You Lunch with the Emperor - The adventures of Ludwig Bemelmans

Author(s): Ludwig Bemelmans

Biography & Memoir

Ludwig Bemelmans - bon vivant, raconteur and self-mythologiser - lived life like a character from a novel, and in fact wrote and illustrated the "Madeline" children's books. "When You Lunch with the Emperor" paints an enchanted picture of this life less ordinary through Bemelmans' finest tales.
